Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Scheduler for the Melchiorre Cancer Center to coordinate infusion treatments with physician appointments. The role emphasizes accurate EPIC-based scheduling, collaboration with medical teams, and proactive patient communication.

The ideal candidate maintains excellent customer service, stays organized across multiple tasks, and uses Microsoft Office and EMR systems efficiently. Monday–Friday, daytime hours with a competitive hourly wage package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or better.
• Scheduling experience in health care preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infusion treatments and therapies in alignment with physician appointments.
• Manage infusion scheduling, work queues and In Basket communications in EPIC.
• Collaborate with physician teams to support treatment plan coordination.
• Verify insurance and pre-authorizations with the authorization team before scheduling.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, communicating appointment details clearly.
