Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking an Infusion RN for the Physician Practice - Hematology and Oncology to deliver professional nursing care before, during, and after treatment, following established policies and protocols.

The role emphasizes direct patient care, teamwork with physicians, charting, medication management, and responding to emergencies, with opportunities for professional development and participation in clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• ACLS certification required.
• RI State RN Licensure required.
• ONS Certification within 2 years of hire date.
• ONS Chemotherapy Certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including examination and treatment under an approved protocol.
• Monitor medical condition of assigned patients and report any changes to physicians.
• Triage calls and educate patients/family regarding condition, treatment, planning and follow up.
• Maintain patient records accurately and legibly.
• Provide clinical leadership and participate in orientation of new personnel.
• Contribute to clinic operations and assist with medication management as needed.
