Job summary

American Oncology Network seeks an RN to provide safe, accurate patient care in oncology. You will assess patients, review labs and vitals, verify doses, administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies, and triage as needed.

You will communicate patient status to the multidisciplinary team per JBIs. You will educate patients and caregivers about medications and expected side effects, document thoroughly in the EMR, assist with supplies and training, and travel to other clinic locations as

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Degree.
• Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Fluent English with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care and non-oncologic agents.
• Follow ONS standards and guidelines for care.
• Accurate disposal of biohazardous waste per OSHA/NIOSH.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications and treatment plans.
• Document in EMR and manage supplies and trainings.
