Job summary

The University of Vermont Health is looking for an Infusion Nurse in Ambulatory Oncology to provide essential chemotherapy and biologic therapies to adult patients with complex illnesses. This role involves not only the insertion of intravenous catheters but also the administration of treatments and comprehensive assessments.

Preferred qualifications include more than a year of experience in hematology oncology nursing and proficiency in peripheral intravenous placement. The position also entails working with clinical trial participants and requires current RN licensure in Vermont.

Qualifications

Key aspects of this direct‑care role include insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters; establishing access via utilizing implanted devices; administration of systemic chemotherapy and biotherapies; supporting the infusion patient who is participating in clinical trials; and comprehensive patient assessment and education.

Experience

Greater than one year of experience and hematology oncology nursing experience preferred. Proficiency with peripheral intravenous placement and care along with the care and maintenance of PICCs and central lines. Chemotherapy certification required; ONC certification preferred.

On‑Call

Not required.
