Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England in Hartford, CT, is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse in our Outpatient Infusion Center to administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies and to educate patients and families through their cancer journey.

You will monitor patients, collaborate with oncologists and pharmacists, and document care using EMR in a patient-centered, quality-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Oncology nursing experience in infusion/ambulatory settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive therapies in outpatient setting.
• Assess, monitor, and educate oncology patients throughout treatment.
• Collaborate with oncologists, APs, pharmacists, and staff to develop care plans.
• Monitor for treatment-related side effects and intervene as needed.
• Provide education to patients and families about treatment plans and survivorship resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR and clinical applications.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance safety, outcomes, and experience.
• Advocate for patients and foster teamwork and excellence.
