Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking an RN for Oncology Infusion (Per Diem) in Hartford, CT. The role focuses on comprehensive patient assessments, symptom management, and education within outpatient infusion centers.

The RN will administer chemotherapy/biotherapy and related infusions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and coordinate infusion visits with provider offices. A BSN is preferred, with CT RN licensure and OCN chemotherapy certification required or within the first month of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred.
• Two years of oncology nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN License.
• OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or within first month of hire).

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and provide symptom management.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions safely.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Schedule infusion visits in collaboration with provider offices.
• Triage patients for toxicities and symptom management.
• Manage a caseload of patients receiving infusion and oral therapies.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences to achieve outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and safety practices.
