Mercy South's David M. Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Oncology Infusion Center.

This part-time role (24 hours/week) offers day shifts from 8:00am to 4:30pm in outpatient infusion settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care. Ideal candidates are graduates with RN license; CPR within 90 days; oncology infusion experience not required; opportunity to grow in a compassionate

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current, valid RN license.
CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
Oncology infusion experience not required.

Responsibilities

Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, hydration therapy, and other infusion medications.
Monitor patients closely for treatment responses and adverse reactions.
Access and maintain peripheral IVs, ports, and central lines.
Collaborate with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and support staff to coordinate treatment plans.
Educate patients and families on medications, side effects, symptom management, and ongoing care needs.
Review laboratory results and communicate significant findings to the care team.
Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic health record.
Maintain oncology treatment safety standards and infection prevention practices.
Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the treatment process.
