Job summary

UCHealth in Aurora, CO, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Infusion Center. This is an onsite, full-time role with 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks) and day shifts. Pay ranges from $35.29 to $54.71 per hour, depending on experience.

Provides direct patient care in an outpatient infusion/apheresis setting using the nursing process in alignment with organizational standards and mission. Requires RN licensure, BLS, and at least 6 months RN experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program; preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date; card valid through sixty days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care related to infusion services based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition; collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Effectively delegates care to ancillary personnel; may precept student nurses and new hires.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
