Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in an outpatient infusion/apheresis setting at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs. This full-time, onsite role follows day shifts with a 72-hour biweekly schedule and involves applying the nursing process within organizational policies and standards.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and coordinate care, collaborate across disciplines, educate patients and families, and supervise or precept staff as

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; state licensure as RN
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• ONS certification within 6 months for new hires and 1 year for new grads
• Minimum 6 months of RN nursing experience
• BLS card valid through 60 days after hire and renewals through AHA

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care related to infusion services based on assessment
• Monitor and document patient condition; coordinate care with other disciplines
• Educate patient and family according to age, culture, and condition
• Effectively delegate care to ancillary staff; may precept students/new hires
• Maintain critical thinking and able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting
