Job summary

Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in accordance with organization policies and protocols. The role requires coordination of care across disciplines, timely communication of patient status, and adherence to the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications include an RN license in Kentucky, BLS, ACLS, and PALS within specified timeframes. A two-tier education path is acceptable with ongoing degree advancement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in nursing is required at hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care per established policies and procedures.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition; coordinates care with the team.
• Acts as primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care across disciplines.
• Notes and follows physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses discharge planning needs with patient/family and team.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.
