Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, invites you to join a high-volume pharmacy team in the Sugar Land area of Houston. This Infusion Technician II role supports the pharmacist in sterile compounding, medication processing, and inventory management to ensure timely patient care.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma, sterile product certification, PTCB, and 6+ years of pharmacy experience with admixture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED and completion of Tech Training Program including Sterile Product course.
• ACPE Pharmacy Sterile Products Certification/Must be IV Certified PTCB certified TSBP registered
• 6+ years pharmacy experience, 5+ years in pharmacy admixture
• Experience or knowledge with Compounding Sterile Products
• Order entry, purchasing and inventory experience
• Demonstrated ability to read merchandise labels and invoices; to ask and answer questions over the phone; to write information on prescriptions Able to communicate with customers to handle complaints and problems
• Demonstrated ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions Math cash handling-able to add and subtract; able to make change; able to complete daily cash report
• Demonstrated ability to type 20wpm
• 10-key by touch
• Stress Tolerance - Demonstrated ability to receive prescriptions and ring up sales in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist in preparation of medications and deliver timely service.
• Process, compound, and deliver medications with accuracy and safety.
• Order and inventory medications and medical supplies.
• Process clinic medication requisitions and maintain accurate records.
• Stock inventory and manage related duties as required by the Pharmacist.
