Job summary

Optum is hiring a Senior Infusion Pharmacy Technician for Houston, TX. The position focuses on sterile compounding, medication management, and timely support of compounding needs within a collaborative team.

The role requires an active Texas Pharmacy Technician license, 1+ years of sterile compounding experience, and a Monday–Friday schedule at the 4620 S Sam Houston Parkway location. Competitive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or 4+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Active and unrestricted Texas Pharmacy Technician license.
• 1+ years of consistent sterile compounding experience.
• Ability to work onsite at 4620 S Sam Houston Parkway Houston, TX, Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts between 7 AM – 7 PM.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile compounding according to company policy and regulations including USP 797 and USP 800.
• Maintain competency related to sterile compounding.
• Participate in medication management for pharmacy compounding, including medication and supply ordering, receiving, and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software issues relating to compounding.
• Complete and document cleaning and monitoring activities for sterile compounding areas.

Education

High School Diploma/GED or 4+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
