Job summary

The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Pharmacy Department seeks a Pharmacy Technician II, Infusion to support pharmacy operations under a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include filling orders, maintaining inventory, and assisting with sterile and non-sterile compounding where applicable.

Locations include Methuen, Londonderry, Milford, and other site assignments. Requires Pharmacy Technician registration with state and national certification; strong attention to detail and teamwork are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or current enrollment in an accredited entry-level degree program for Pharmacy or related field.
• 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, including at least 1 year of compounding experience.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy Registration as a Pharmacy Technician, with National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) to be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• For Londonderry or Merrimack Valley satellite locations, New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy Registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders according to policy and gains proficiency with advanced preparations.
• Maintains Pharmacy inventory: sorting, stocking, and expiration date checks.
• Performs quality control steps as required for safety and regulatory requirements.
• Performs sterile and non-sterile compounding of predominately hazardous drugs per USP standards.
• Trains other employees as assigned and communicates/escalates issues as needed.
• May cross-cover other locations or areas (e.g., materials management, outpatient, infusion).
