Qualifications

• The position requires a high school diploma or current enrollment in an accredited entry-level degree program for Pharmacy or a related field.
• 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, including at least 1 year of compounding experience.
• Massachusetts (and NH) Pharmacy Technician registrations or eligibility within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Fills medication orders according to policy and gains proficiency with advanced preparations.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory; sorts, stocks, and checks expiration dates.
• Documents quality control steps for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Performs sterile and non-sterile compounding of predominately hazardous drugs per USP and DFCI policies.
• Operates EHR and inventory systems; reports issues and escalates when needed.
• Trains other staff and may cross-cover multiple locations (infusion, outpatient, etc.).
