Job summary

Inova Schar Infusion is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekends. Inova operates as a top national healthcare provider with strong focus on safety, quality, and patient experience in the D.C. metro area.

Qualifications

• Two years of hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Certification: Virginia Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy intern license; BLS within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Handle chemotherapy related tasks with safety and accuracy, minimizing exposure.
• Compute patient-specific doses from mg/m2 or mg/kg dosing with precision.
• Reorder IV admixture/chemo supplies to avoid stockouts and waste.
• Ensure safe disposal of hazardous materials, sharps, and trash.
• Follow IV admixture aseptic technique and document calculations and procedures.
• Prepare IV admixture and sterile compounding with clean, contamination-free work.
