Job summary

Baptist Health in Miami is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and distribute medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role includes handling IV admixtures, stocking, delivering medications to patient care areas, and ensuring safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical care.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, an active Pharmacy Technician license, and PTCB certification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years technician experience (hospital compounding or outpatient infusion)
• Sterile Compounding Certification (Preferred)
• Complex Hazardous Compounding experience required
• Complex Hazardous compounding includes 20+ hours per week within hazardous meds, chemotherapy, TPN, pumps and CSTD

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Prepare non-hazardous and hazardous IV admixtures
• Refill automated dispensing cabinets (ADC) and label medications
• Deliver medications to patient care areas and maintain stock levels
• Maintain proper storage and cleanliness of the pharmacy and provide excellent customer service
