Job summary

Baptist Health in Miami is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to prepare and distribute medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will fill and label medications, refill Pyxis, deliver medications to Patient Care Areas, and assist with IV admixture and safe medication storage.

Requirements include high school or equivalent, registration as a Pharmacy Technician, and hospital experience preferred; PTCB/ICPT certification is recommended, with up to three years' experience

Qualifications

• Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
• Licenses & Certifications: Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Three years of experience may substitute for the required certification.

Responsibilities

• Filling and labeling medications, refilling Pyxis, delivering medications to Patient Care Areas.
• Preparing IV admixture solutions and maintaining proper storage of medications.
• Answering the telephone and directing calls to appropriate staff; mentoring students.
