Job summary

Joseph Michaels International seeks a Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager (PIC) to oversee all departments, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient operations. The role includes financial oversight and collaboration with owners and corporate offices on performance and clinical implementation of therapies.

The ideal candidate holds a GA-Board in good standing, strong leadership, and extensive experience in pharmacy operations, infusion therapy, and staff management.

Qualifications

• Required: B.S or PharmD in good standing with the GA Board of Pharmacy
• Required: Good interactive skills with employees, referral sources, physicians, and consumers
• Required: Excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills
• Required: Business and financial understanding of operating a profitable business
• Preferred: Three (3) years clinical experience
• Preferred: Experience with management of pharmacy support personnel
• Preferred: Minimum one (1) year experience with infusion therapy and sterile compounding
• Preferred: Sterile compounding training

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy management activities in compliance with regulatory and organizational policies
• Oversee the physical maintenance of the pharmacy
• Liaise between Board of Managements and staff
• Interview, orient, and evaluate employees across departments
• Uphold regulatory mandates on health care provision
• Resolve questions and issues across departments
• Implement and uphold company policies and protocols
• Participate in strategic planning to increase revenue and improve care quality
• Maintain USP <797> knowledge for sterile preparations
• Lead performance improvement processes and assign staff
• Review charts and lab results for product and device selection
• Evaluate physician medication orders for safety and cost effectiveness
• Monitor patient progress and communicate results to clinical team
• Supervise pharmacy staff in compounding, packaging, labeling
• Assist in training and orientation of new staff
• Participate in on-call rotation
