Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Orland Park, Illinois seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to support infusion drug therapy within the Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy, Registry. You will ensure safe, effective, and timely medication therapy, collaborating with physicians and insurance providers to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires ACPE-accredited degree, PharmD preferred, and Illinois license within 60 days, with PGY-1 residency or hospital experience and Oncology infusion exposure highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy.
• PharmD or higher degree preferred.
• Illinois pharmacist licensure within 60 days of employment.
• ASHP PGY-1 Residency required or 3+ years hospital staffing; Oncology infusion experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with JCAHO, ASHP guidelines, licensing acts, and policies.
• Interpret, evaluate, and dispense drug orders considering safety, interactions, and cost.
• Identify and resolve drug-related problems; recommend rational therapeutics.
• Check orders entered in the computer system; ensure allergies and interactions.
• Check medications prior to dispensing for labeling, preparation, and storage; coordinate workflow.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians.
• Mentor/educate staff as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
