A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Infusion Pharmacist. This role offers career growth, a supportive work environment, and full-time hours (40+ per week).

Location and Compensation

• Location: Oklahoma City OK 73134 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $65.75/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday – Friday
• Rotating Schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM / 8:30 AM–5:30 PM / 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
• On-Call: Scheduled on-call coverage from Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 8:30 AM, typically approximately once per month. Candidates must be flexible and able to participate in scheduled evening and weekend on-call coverage.

Summary and Highlights

The Infusion Pharmacist will support a home infusion pharmacy team. This role is responsible for evaluating and monitoring drug therapy for home care patients, reviewing and verifying medication orders, providing clinical consultation, and ensuring safe and compliant medication preparation and dispensing. The Pharmacist will work closely with physicians, nurses, patients, families, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and appropriate medication therapy. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor drug therapy based on the overall needs of home care patients.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Review, receive, verify, and accurately document new patient medication orders.
• Coordinate and facilitate new patient referrals and admissions in collaboration with nursing, customer service, and distribution teams.
• Establish therapeutic objectives and parameters for monitoring the safety and effectiveness of drug therapy.
• Conduct and document initial and ongoing patient, drug, and disease assessments.
• Identify actual and potential drug-related problems and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Monitor drug therapy outcomes using laboratory results, clinical information, and other relevant patient data.
• Provide medication consultation and answer questions from patients, families, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of clinical activities and communications.
• Process and verify medications, supplies, and equipment prior to dispensing.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations, including parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, chemotherapy, hydration, and narcotic analgesics, using appropriate aseptic techniques where permitted.
• Ensure cleanroom areas and related equipment are maintained according to company procedures and applicable USP standards.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and required activity logs.
• Oversee Pharmacy Technician functions as required by applicable Pharmacy Board regulations.
• Maintain current clinical knowledge through professional literature, training, seminars, and conferences.
• Follow all organizational policies, pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and applicable state and federal laws.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or higher.
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• Active Registered Pharmacist License in the state of practice.
• 2+ years of recent acute-care pharmacy experience OR 1 year of recent home infusion therapy experience.
• Experience with compounding infused drugs.
• Strong understanding of medication therapy and patient safety.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled evening and weekend on-call coverage.
• Preferred Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Experience with sterile compounding and aseptic techniques.
• Previous home infusion pharmacy experience.
• Experience overseeing Pharmacy Technician functions.
• Membership or participation in professional pharmacy organizations.

Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements This position requires extended periods of sitting and keyboard use, with occasional standing and walking. The role also requires the ability to push, pull, lift, and carry items weighing approximately 10–30 lbs.
