Job summary

Corewell Health in Michigan is seeking a part-time RN for Oncology St Joseph - Niles and St Joseph hospitals. The role includes delivering evidence-based nursing care, participating in discharge planning, and collaborating with an interprofessional team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The position requires an RN license in Michigan, BSN within specified timelines, and BLS/Oncology certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

RN licensure in Michigan required
BSN within the specified timelines for various start dates and locations
Competency-based orientation program required
BLS certification (AHA or ARC) within 90 days
Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certificate required for relevant departments
OCN Certification preferred if applicable to role

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care per interprofessional plan of care
Communicate and collaborate with health care team
Advocate for patient/family privacy and confidentiality
Assess patient/family needs and develop care plans
Coordinate discharge planning and transitions
Document accurately and timely
Demonstrate autonomous leadership and delegate to UAP
Engage in ongoing professional development and quality improvement

Education

Associate’s Degree in Nursing

Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2018 (Big Rapids, Reed City)

Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between April 1, 2016 and December 31, 2017 (Big Rapids, Reed City)

Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after May 1, 2020 (Gerber, Ludington, Pennock)

Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between January 1, 2017 and April 30, 2020 (Gerber, Ludington, Pennock)

Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2017 (Pennock)
