Qualifications

• Knowledge of chemotherapy medications, protocols, and safe handling procedures.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical documentation software.
• Strong patient assessment and clinical monitoring skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and safety compliance requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• ONC or Chemotherapy certification (preferred).
• Experience providing patient education and health promotion (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and infusion medications per protocols and physician orders.
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after infusion therapy.
• Maintain accurate medical records in EHR systems.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and side effects.
• Prepare infusion equipment and medications following safety protocols.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to develop care plans.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care throughout treatment.
• Monitor patient comfort and pain management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control procedures.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with oncology nursing best practices.
