Job summary

University of Michigan Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intravenous Specialty Infusion Center in Lansing, MI to provide professional nursing services and chemotherapy infusions. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care under physician supervision, coordinating with the care team to ensure safe, compassionate treatment.

The role requires at least 2 years of outpatient oncology experience and an active Michigan RN license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years outpatient oncology experience within the last 10 years.
• Associate degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Ongoing continuing education related to oncology.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under established protocols and physician supervision.
• Assist physician during procedures and monitor patients per protocol.
• Initiate nursing care and administer chemotherapy via appropriate routes.
• Obtain venous access via peripheral vein, tunneled catheter, and/or implanted port.
• Provide patient and family teaching related to oncology procedures and treatment.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records of patient interactions.
