Job summary

Confidential in Lewiston, Maine, is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for day shifts in an infusion setting. The assignment is 12 weeks long. Compensation is up to $672–$768 gross per shift, equivalent to $56–$64 per hour.

The optimal candidate will have RN licensure in the state, BLS and ACLS, and at least one year of oncology experience. Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and related therapies, patient assessments, education, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation

Qualifications

RN license required.
BLS certification required on hire and maintained.
ACLS certification required on hire and maintained.
Minimum 1 year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
