Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is hiring a regular Full-time Clinician (RN) to support the Medical Oncology team in Shadyside/Pittsburgh, PA. The position offers a $6,000 sign-on bonus and a daytime schedule Monday through Friday overseeing the Treatment/Infusion Room on the 4th floor of the Hillman Cancer Center and the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers.

Clinicians collaborate with the Unit Director and staff to coordinate clinical activities, educate on the unit, and improve the nursing

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years RN experience required.
BSN required
MSN or CNL preferred
Oncology experience preferred
IV Skills preferred
Demonstrated competence as a Professional Staff Nurse.
Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in practicing state. CPR required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally by building teams and mentoring colleagues.
Demonstrates knowledge of performance improvement tools and techniques and improves quality of care.
Mentors and educates staff and serves as a preceptor for students and new nurses.
Implements patient-focused care and improves patient safety and satisfaction.
Leads in nursing practice and participates in staff evaluations and onboarding.
