Compass Oncology in the Portland metro area is seeking a Registered Nurse to support our Infusion Oncology care team at West Cancer Center in Clackamas, and Tigard, OR. The role focuses on direct patient care for oncology patients, dose administration, chemotherapy safety, and collaborative care with physicians and medical staff.

This position is 36 hours per week (.9 FTE) with compensation in the $41.17–$69.36 per hour range.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
• Dual licensure in Oregon (OR) and Washington (WA) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card, preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Must maintain continuing education requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Assists physician with exams and procedures.
• Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
• Assesses patients for changes in condition, including abnormal labs, x-rays, scans and adverse reactions.
• Facilitates dose modification by assessing labs, protocol, and physician input.
• Performs venipuncture and manages central lines/catheter devices.
• Administers medications and blood products with correct dosage, route and timing.
• Documents nursing assessments, teaching and administration in the chart.
• Communicates information to the physician and ensures accurate charges.
• Triages patient calls and documents information in the chart.
• Provides patient/family education and references community resources as needed.
