Job summary

Compass Oncology is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Infusion Oncology care team at East Cancer Center in Clackamas, OR. Oncology experience is a plus, with preference for Infusion Oncology experience. The role includes patient care, dose calculations, and cross-training opportunities.

The position is 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE) with responsibilities across satellite offices as needed. BLS and multi-site licensure within 6 months are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
• Dual licensure in Oregon (OR) and Washington (WA) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card, preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician with exams and procedures.
• Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of exam rooms.
• Assess patients for changes in condition, including abnormal labs, imaging, or reactions.
• Facilitates dose modification by evaluating patient and labs and consulting protocol.
• Performs venipuncture and manages central lines/catheter devices.
• Administers medications and blood products with correct dosage and route.
• Documents nursing assessments and medication administration in the chart.
• Communicates all interventions to the physician.
• Ensures nursing charges are accurate on patient fee slips.
• Acts as a resource to medical assistants and triages patient calls.
