BrightStar Care of Lansing in Michigan is seeking an experienced Infusion Nurse for part-time/per diem home-based care. You will deliver infusion therapy (IVIG/Remicade) and educate patients in their homes, with a focus on one-to-one care and high-quality outcomes.

Applicants must have an active Michigan RN license, CPR, and prior home healthcare experience. A reliable vehicle is required; vaccination is encouraged. Competitive pay and a flexible schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with peripheral IV starts/maintenance, IV infusion therapy, injections, and CVAD knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide home infusion visits including IVIG and Remicade.
• Place and maintain peripheral IVs.
• Manage central lines as required.
• Educate patients on injections, line maintenance and self-infusion.
• Coordinate care with physicians and pharmacies to optimize patient care.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Home Visits: Provide specialty and core drug infusions, including IVIG and Remicade.
• Peripheral IV Management: Perform IV placement and maintenance.
• Central Line Maintenance: Manage central lines effectively.
• Training: Educate patients on injections, line maintenance, and self-administered infusions.
• Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians and pharmacies to ensure optimal patient care.
• Plan of Care: Develop and maintain comprehensive care plans.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Must hold a current unrestricted RN license in Michigan and valid CPR.
• Experience: Prior experience in home healthcare visits is required.
• Vaccination: Recommend vaccinated against COVID-19 but not mandated.
• Skills: Experience with peripheral IV starts/maintenance, IV infusion therapy, injection and self-infusion training, phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients, and CVAD knowledge is essential.
• Transportation: Must have a reliable car and auto insurance.
• Background: Clean background and Urine Drug Screen.
• Compliance: Must adhere to regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and client confidentiality.
