Job summary

BrightStar Care of Lansing, MI is seeking a skilled Infusion Nurse for part-time/per diem home infusion care. You'll deliver IV infusions including IVIG and Remicade, perform IV placements, and educate patients in self-infusion, in patients' homes.

You'll work with a supportive team, enjoy a flexible schedule, and access continuing education and advancement opportunities. Must have Michigan RN license and CPR; reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current unrestricted RN license in Michigan and valid CPR.
• Experience in home healthcare visits is required.
• Skilled with peripheral IV starts/maintenance and IV infusion therapy.
• Ability to educate patients on injections and self-infusion.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialty and core drug infusions, including IVIG and Remicade.
• Perform IV placement and maintenance.
• Manage central lines.
• Educate patients on injections, line maintenance, and self-administered infusions.
• Collaborate with physicians and pharmacies to ensure optimal care.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Plan of Care.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Must hold a current unrestricted RN license in Michigan and valid CPR.
• Experience: Prior experience in home healthcare visits is required.
• Vaccination: Recommend vaccinated against COVID-19 but not mandated.
• Skills: Experience with peripheral IV starts/maintenance, IV infusion therapy, injection and self-infusion training, phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients, and CVAD knowledge is essential.
• Transportation: Must have a reliable car and auto insurance.
• Background: Clean background and Urine Drug Screen.
• Compliance: Must adhere to regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and client confidentiality.
