UC San Diego Health seeks an RN for the Infusion Center to deliver autonomous, high-quality nursing care during chemotherapy and related therapies. This role requires oncology experience, infusion skills, and a collaborative approach with a multidisciplinary team.

The position may float to multiple Infusion Clinics across La Jolla, Encinitas, Vista and Hillcrest. A strong emphasis on patient safety, documentation, and urgent care readiness rounds out the responsibilities.

Formación

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• RN License issued by the State of California.
• BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six months.
• Must have a minimum of two years of active oncology RN experience with recent infusion experience.
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification with recent experience.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage multiple levels of information and responsibilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with staff, physicians, patients, and external constituents.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with strong organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care in the Infusion Center with chemotherapy, biotherapy, and clinical trials infusions.
• Access central lines and ports, perform venipunctures for labs as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, and care teams to address patient needs.
• Respond to urgent medical emergencies and float to other Infusion Departments as needed.
