Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Infusion Center at Livingston, NJ. This day shift role supports providers, performs phlebotomy, records vital signs, and maintains exam rooms with EPIC documentation while delivering compassionate patient care.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, current BLS, and orientation completion; completion of an accredited MA program is preferred. Minimum 1 year MA experience is typical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Orientation program completion required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred or MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and direct them to appropriate locations.
• Obtain vitals and document in the medical record.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens per policy.
• Maintain exam room supplies and stock equipment.
• Record medication reconciliation and review physician notes.
• Assist with patient forms and scheduling communications.
• Notify nurses/physicians of questions or concerns.
• Support office clerical tasks and EPIC data entry.
