Job summary

A typical day for a Certified Medical Assistant may include:

• Preparing patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and ensuring they feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit
• Assisting physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures, anticipating clinical needs to support efficient, high-quality care
• Performing clinical tasks such as administering injections, collecting specimens, conducting point-of-care testing, and completing other duties within scope of practice
• Accurately documenting patient information, test results, and provider instructions within the electronic medical record to support continuity of care
• Coordinating patient flow by preparing exam rooms, maintaining supplies, and helping ensure appointments run efficiently
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients regarding medications, treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and preventive care
• Scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and collaborating with the care team to support seamless patient experiences

• This position is a Per Diem, day shift schedule.
• You hold a current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential (AAMA, AECA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NCMA, or NHA) and a current American Heart Association BLS certification, and a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum of 12 months of CMA experience, including EKG and Phlebotomy experience is required. Electronic medical record (EMR) systems, Epic, knowledge is preferred.
