Job summary

Sage Infusion is seeking a process-oriented Intake Coordinator to join a fast-paced healthcare startup in Gainesville, FL. You will manage timely scheduling of new and existing patient referrals and work closely with management and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate data entry.

The role is full-time and hourly, at $21 per hour, with emphasis on patient experience, accuracy, and teamwork in a friendly, growth-minded environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits, and prior authorization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer proficiency and MS Office.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new and existing patient referrals in a timely manner.
• Enter patient demographics and insurance information into medical records.
• Communicate receipt of orders to referral sources and obtain missing documentation.
• Contact patients to confirm receipt of orders and gather missing data.
• Assist with copay collection and paperwork at patient arrival.
• Initiate and track new referral checklists for completion.
• Coordinate with Finance on co-pay assistance and pricing for patients.
• Provide warm, helpful communication to patients and staff.
• Maintain inventory of office and medical supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
