Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for our Ambulatory Infusion Center to provide direct patient care including IV/IM/SC therapies and to manage infusion care plans.

The NP will obtain payer credentialing and ensure reimbursement eligibility, while leading infusion nurses and coordinating with physicians. A strong background in infusion services and EHR proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral NP degree from an accredited program.
• Active NP license in practicing state.
• Board certification as NP (FNP/AGNP or specialty).
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year NP clinical experience.
• Experience with IV therapy or infusion services.
• Proficient in EHR systems.
• Credentialing-ready: licensure and payer docs for billing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care including assessments and infusion therapy.
• Prescribe and manage medications related to infusion care.
• Order and interpret labs, diagnostics, and tests.
• Oversee IV/IM/SC medication administration and monitor for adverse events.
• Create and update infusion care plans in the EHR with proper documentation.
• Conduct initial evaluations for therapy appropriateness and payer criteria.
• Maintain communication with medical directors and interdisciplinary staff.
• Coordinate emergency transfers when needed.
• Serve as a clinical leader to nurses and staff on protocols.
• Support patient education and safe transitions across settings.
• Participate in quality improvement and operational planning in the infusion center.
• Maintain payer licenses and NPI enrollment linked to the organization's Tax ID.

Education

Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the practicing state

Board certification as an NP (FNP, AGNP, or applicable specialty)

Current BLS certification

Minimum 1 year of NP experience in a clinical setting

Prior IV therapy or infusion services experience

Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems

Credentialing-ready: licensure and payer documentation for billing
