Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Ambulatory Infusion Center team. The NP will provide direct patient care, manage infusion therapies, and develop individualized care plans in a fast-paced setting.

The role involves ensuring payer credentialing, maintaining licensure, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality infusion services across centers.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral NP program completed
• Active and unrestricted NP license in practicing state
• Board certification as NP (FNP, AGNP, or applicable)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year NP clinical experience
• Prior IV therapy/infusion services experience
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Credentialing-ready: maintain licensure & payer docs

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hands-on patient care including assessments and infusion-related treatment.
• Prescribe and manage infusion medications per state regs and practice agreements.
• Order and interpret labs, diagnostics, and therapy tests.
• Oversee IV/IM/SC medication administration and monitor for adverse events.
• Document infusion care plans and maintain EHR records accurately.
• Evaluate therapy appropriateness and payer criteria for infusion center.
• Coordinate care with medical directors and interdisciplinary staff.
• Identify urgent reactions and coordinate appropriate interventions.
• Lead infusion center team and mentor staff on protocols.
• Support patient education and safe transitions of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and operational planning.
• Maintain payer licensure and NPI enrollment linked to Tax ID.
• Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, ACHC, and applicable guidelines.
