Job summary

Freeport‑McMoRan’s Sierrita operations near Tucson is seeking an IT technician to set up, install and maintain personal computers, phones and networking gear across the site. You will follow established procedures to configure devices, support network infrastructure and assist in server management.

Ideal candidates bring 4–6 years of hardware/software troubleshooting experience and one technical certification.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting, maintenance and repair, and one relevant technical certification OR 6 years of experience without certification.
• Strong ability to configure, install, troubleshoot, and monitor networking devices and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Set up, deliver and install PCs, telephones, networking equipment and peripherals using defined procedures.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking devices, switches, hubs and wireless systems including RF and fiber optics.
• Assist in management of site servers and storage devices and support MIS/process infrastructure projects.
• Contribute to Safety and Environmental programs and policy compliance at the site.
