Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is hiring at its Chino copper mining complex in southwestern New Mexico. The role focuses on setting up and maintaining computer, voice, and networking infrastructure to support site operations.

You will diagnose and repair PC hardware, printers, and PBX/VoIP systems, while following safety policies and contributing to environmental programs. Two years of hardware/software troubleshooting experience are required, plus basic networking and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Two years of experience in computer/electronic systems hardware/software troubleshooting.
Experience with PC hardware, software, printers, fax machines and telephone handsets.
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose issues with computers and peripherals.
Basic networking concepts including wireless networking equipment.
Basic knowledge of voice systems (PBX/VoIP).
Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Ability to work weekends/holidays and overtime as needed.
Customer-service oriented with good organizational skills.
Awareness of occupational hazards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Set up, deliver and install computers, telephones, networking and peripherals using defined procedures.
Perform preventative maintenance on voice and data systems with accurate documentation.
Participate in Safety and Environmental programs and site goals.
Troubleshoot voice, network, PC and basic wireless issues.
Perform other duties as required.
