Matlen Silver is seeking an Infrastructure Risk Analyst Consultant in Jersey City, NJ. This 12-month contract (with potential extension to 18 months) offers an onsite arrangement three days per week and a pay rate of $65-$70 per hour on a W2 basis.

In this role you will bridge infrastructure engineering and risk/governance, identify, track and remediate risks across a large technology portfolio, and drive remediation efforts with governance frameworks while improving risk management processes.

Job Title: Infrastructure Risk Analyst Consultant

Duration: 12 month contract, with extension possible to 18 months

Location: Jersey City, NJ (3 days per week onsite)

Pay Scale: $65-70/hr W2 (Cannot subcontract or C2C)

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Risk Analyst to join our financial services client's team in Jersey City that will be responsible for bridging the gap between technical infrastructure engineering teams and risk/governance stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying, tracking, and remediating risks across a large technology portfolio, ensuring our client's infrastructure remains secure, compliant, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities

• Risk Identification & Remediation: Support the identification and mitigation of infrastructure risks across a large portfolio, focusing heavily on network configurations, system patching, and vulnerability management.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with infrastructure engineering and technology delivery teams to drive remediation efforts and align technical practices with governance frameworks.
• Process Improvement: Support automation, process management, and continuous process improvement initiatives to streamline risk management workflows.

Qualifications & Skills

• Technical Infrastructure Experience: Strong background in technology infrastructure, ideally with hands-on exposure to infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Risk & Governance Background: Proven experience working in risk, governance, or remediation functions within an IT or engineering environment.
• Analytical Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex technical infrastructure issues for risk and governance stakeholders.
