Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, CA invites applications for multiple openings in the Resilient Operational Infrastructure Systems Analysis team within the Computational Engineering Division. You will develop analytical models, run simulations, and provide decision support to strengthen critical infrastructure against cyber, physical, and supply-chain threats.

Telework will be authorized at LLNL's discretion, with onsite requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
• Master's degree in engineering, computer science, operations research, or related fields.
• Broad experience designing, integrating, operating, or maintaining industrial control systems or analyzing their data/alarms.
• Experience with risk analysis, decision analysis, data analytics, modeling or simulation.
• Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel off-site for sponsor interactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical models, tools, and frameworks to characterize infrastructure resilience and interdependencies.
• Define clear analytical questions and plans to provide decision insights to stakeholders.
• Participate in physical and computational simulations to understand complex infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines such as cybersecurity, physical security, and infrastructure systems.
• Ensure timely delivery of technical projects and communicate status to stakeholders.
