Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) seeks an experienced Resilient Infrastructure Operational Systems Analyst to advance resilience analyses for critical infrastructure against cyber, physical, and supply-chain threats. You will work within the Computational Engineering Division to develop models and run simulations in support of national security missions.

Roles require advanced degrees and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

• PhD in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, chemical, civil, or systems) or related fields, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in engineering, computer sciences, or operations research, or equivalent experience.
• Experience/knowledge in cybersecurity principles and practices, SCADA/industrial control systems, or OT environments.
• Experience building models and/or frameworks to characterize complex infrastructure systems and risks.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical models, tools, and frameworks to assess infrastructure resilience against cyber, physical, and supply chain threats.
• Formulate analytical questions and plans to provide decision insights to stakeholders.
• Participate in physical and computational simulations to understand complex infrastructure systems.
• Collaborate across disciplines and communicate options and trade-offs to support customer missions.
• Engage with sponsor and partner technical contacts and contribute to deliverables with defined timelines.
• Travel occasionally to support sponsor and customer interactions.
