Job summary

Fidelity TalentSource is seeking an Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to join the Compute Operations team in Durham, NC. You will collaborate with engineering and operations, drive automation, observability, and DevOps practices to ensure stability and security of our environment.

The role covers Windows, Linux, virtualization, SAN/NAS/CAS storage, and incident management. You will work with global teams and vendors, participate in on-call, and contribute to KPIs while advancing self-healing

Qualifications

5+ years of IT experience across a broad range of technologies.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS and/or Linux (RedHat / Ubuntu).
Disk storage management expertise; SAN/NAS/CAS infra is a plus.
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare or OLVM).
On-call coverage and incident management experience.
Troubleshooting OS, hardware, and performance issues.
Scripting and AI proficiency.

Responsibilities

Manage Windows, Linux and virtualization operating systems.
Oversee hypervisors and hardware infrastructure.
Drive automation and observability initiatives and promote DevOps/EngOps work.
Ensure security compliance and execute patching activities.
Maintain environment stability and support critical server operations.
Participate in incident management and change execution.
Contribute to operational KPIs and metrics.
Collaborate with global teams and vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions.
Communicate effectively with engineering, operations leaders, and partners.
