Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Regional Project Controls Lead for Infrastructure in the US South. This role can be based in any Stantec office within the US South region and serves as a strategic partner to regional business and operations leadership, linking portfolio performance with governance and capability development.

You will lead regional project controls teams, coordinate priorities with business centers, and help implement a consistent controls framework across the region, while guiding staffing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years in project controls, project accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience leading teams and influencing senior leaders across a broad portfolio.
• Advanced understanding of Earned Value Management, gross margin, forecasting, DSO, risk, and portfolio governance.
• Experience leading organizational change and establishing operating practices across multiple groups.
• Ability to synthesize portfolio information into executive recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Controls teams across the assigned region and coordinate priorities and deployment.
• Partner with Regional Delivery, Business, and Growth Leaders on portfolio margin, risk, and performance initiatives.
• Review regional reporting to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities requiring leadership action.
• Provide concise, decision-oriented recommendations and escalation in financial-management forums.
• Monitor regional project performance and coordinate with Finance to address margin impacts.
• Develop and implement the Project Controls framework, standards, procedures, and processes.
• Guide regional leaders on project-controls strategy, governance, staffing and implementation.
• Lead change management and capability development across the region.
• Promote collaboration across regions and transfer of lessons learned.
