Job summary

Lochmueller Group is seeking a Marketing Proposal Specialist to shape how we communicate our vision and expertise for infrastructure projects. You will own the full proposal lifecycle, from strategy through QA/QC and final delivery, helping secure high-impact opportunities.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, craft compelling content, and refine materials for State DOT pursuits. This role offers growth toward senior leadership within a collaborative ESOP company culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in journalism, PR, communications, or marketing preferred.
• 3+ years marketing and/or proposal writing experience; civil engineering experience preferred.
• Experience developing proposals for State DOT projects preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, WordPress or related software.
• Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
• Experience in proposal strategy, technical writing, and QA/QC processes.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with teams and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Attend project strategy and scoping meetings before RFP releases and prepare marketing materials.
• Direct proposal and presentation development for assigned pursuits, including scheduling, materials, and final production.
• Collaborate with project managers from various departments to prepare proposals and presentations.
• Write and edit proposal content; assist with printing, assembly, and QA/QC review.
• Help develop marketing materials such as newsletters, brochures, and website content.
• Utilize industry tools like Adobe InDesign, HubSpot CRM, and document automation to support proposals.
• Perform other duties as needed.
