Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Project Coordination Office.

You will work with the City of Chicago Department of Transportation and major utilities to apply cutting-edge technologies to infrastructure management. Responsibilities include reviewing plans, coordinating schedules, resolving utility conflicts, and supporting project delivery through data analysis and effective stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• 1–5 years’ engineering experience.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of project work.
• Review civil design plans and specs for public and private clients.
• Coordinate with City of Chicago CDOT and utilities to resolve conflicts.
• Analyze project data from maps and spreadsheets to identify savings.
• Communicate with stakeholders clearly and concisely.
