Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join our Civil Group in our Chicago, Illinois office. This unique opportunity allows you to play a key role in diverse roadway/transportation engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 years of progressive experience, a strong understanding of IDOT and Illinois Tollway standards, and preferred experience in Open Roads Modeling and drainage design. Relocation is available.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of progressive experience in roadway project design and development.
• Strong understanding of IDOT, Illinois Tollway, and local agency standards.
• Open Roads Modeling and drainage design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a variety of roadway/transportation engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Ensure projects meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and effective solutions.
• Prepare and review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
• Adopts and implements in-house QA/QC program.
