Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a senior Infrastructure Program Manager to lead complex initiatives from planning through implementation and transition to operations. You will coordinate engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, identity, endpoint, and vendor teams to deliver modernization across enterprise platforms.

The role requires 8+ years of program management experience, strong planning and governance, and proven ability to drive multiple workstreams with minimal authority.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology program management experience with infrastructure delivery.
• Experience leading complex enterprise infrastructure implementations, migrations, or modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure dependencies across networking, cloud, identity, cybersecurity, applications, and endpoint technologies.
• Strong project planning, RAID management, dependency management, governance, and executive communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple technical workstreams and drive accountability without direct authority.
• Experience managing vendors, systems integrators, or managed service providers.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Scrum, or similar certification preferred.
• Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM), change management, and operational transition.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure projects across planning, design, implementation, migration, stabilization, and closure.
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, critical paths, resources, and dependencies.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical teams and vendors to drive delivery and resolve blockers.
• Lead infrastructure modernization and migration initiatives across endpoint, cloud, networking, identity, cybersecurity, and enterprise platforms.
• Manage endpoint migration activities including pilots, rollout waves, application readiness, security dependencies, user readiness, and support transition.
• Establish governance, project cadence, escalation paths, and go/no-go criteria.
• Maintain concise executive reporting, Red/Amber/Green (RAG) status, and delivery dashboards.
• Ensure operational readiness through support models, documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition to steady-state operations.
