Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a technology program manager to lead complex infrastructure initiatives from planning through implementation and transition to operations, coordinating across networking, cloud, identity, cybersecurity, applications, and endpoint teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology program management with infrastructure delivery experience.
• Proven experience leading enterprise infrastructure implementations, migrations, or modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure dependencies across networking, cloud, identity, cybersecurity, applications, and endpoint technologies.
• Strong planning, RAID management, governance, and executive communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple technical workstreams and drive accountability without direct authority.
• Experience managing vendors, systems integrators, or managed service providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead infrastructure projects across planning, design, implementation, migration, stabilization, and closure.
• Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, critical paths, resources, and dependencies.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, assumptions, and decisions.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical teams and vendors to drive delivery and resolve blockers.
• Lead infrastructure modernization and migration initiatives across endpoint, cloud, networking, identity, cybersecurity, and enterprise platforms.
• Manage endpoint migration activities including pilots, rollout waves, application readiness, security dependencies, user readiness, and support transition.
• Establish governance, project cadence, escalation paths, and go/no-go criteria.
• Maintain concise executive reporting, Red/Amber/Green (RAG) status, and delivery dashboards.
• Ensure operational readiness through support models, documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition to steady-state operations.
