Job summary

Rothesay, the UK’s leading pensions insurer, seeks an Infrastructure Originator in New York to source and evaluate North American infrastructure debt opportunities. You will build models, draft covenant terms, and drive deal execution from underwriting to portfolio management, collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

The role reports to the Head of Infrastructure RAM-NA and offers a base salary of $200k–$275k plus a competitive benefits package and discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a highly quantitative discipline.
• 5+ years in infrastructure banking or investment, incl. sourcing, structuring, execution, and management of complex transactions.
• Established relationships with infrastructure sponsors/advisors/banks/asset managers/consultants.
• Experience with investment-grade and below investment-grade lending, incl. modeling and due diligence.
• Strong credit judgment, financial analysis, and risk/return balancing.
• Strong Excel cashflow modeling and risk analysis skills.
• Self-starter, able to handle multiple tasks under time pressure.
• Commercial awareness and teamwork across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; creative problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Sourc e infrastructure debt opportunities in North America leveraging networks.
• Promote Rothesay’s profile at industry events and conferences.
• Conduct due diligence, credit analysis and underwriting of opportunities.
• Develop complex dynamic financial models to analyze investments.
• Define debt structures and covenants with pricing supported by analysis.
• Manage execution: underwriting, due diligence, legal docs, asset management.
• Present investment papers to committees with risks and metrics.
• Oversee portfolio investments and negotiate amendments or restructurings.
