Job summary

Amentum’s Intel and Cyber Division seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join the Fort Meade, MD team. You will lead hands-on physical IT infrastructure installations across development, pre-production, and production environments, coordinating with UC and network engineers to support site deployments from survey through handoff.

Requires a decade of experience in IT facility infrastructure, data center leadership, and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience deploying physical IT infrastructure
• Experience managing data center or IT facility infrastructure as lead or manager
• Hands-on installation and troubleshooting of servers, network equipment, racks, and cabling
• Current CompTIA Security+ CE is required
• Ability to travel up to 20% and work in a SCIF environment

Responsibilities

• Direct a 3-person team across technicians, facilities, and network architects
• Perform hands-on physical infrastructure installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with UC, systems, and network engineers to support site deployments
• Ensure five 9s infrastructure availability and manage site surveys
• Create and maintain installation guides, checklists, and as-built documentation
• Coordinate change and configuration management activities
