Job summary

AE COM is seeking an Associate Estimator to lead best-practice estimation across large infrastructure commissions for both private and public sector clients. The role involves delivering estimation services from feasibility through to construction, liaising with clients and contractors, and presenting outcomes with clarity.

Based in a regional office with hybrid/remote flexibility, travel across the UK and abroad may be required to support successful delivery and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience of undertaking estimation as part of an integrated, multi-organisation team.
• Experience of working as part of a commercial process and delivery.
• Experience of working within a client organisation, either directly or through a secondment arrangement.
• Good working knowledge of the NEC3 and NEC4 suite of contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop best-in-class estimation. Work with sector and commercial leads to demonstrate value to clients.
• Lead the quantum assessment of projects and align with risk and cost benchmarking.
• Optioneering/value engineering to enhance the offering around value optimisation.
• Lead in the build up of rates based on known factors and market factors.
• Support development of budgets, baselines and forecasts.
